Osama Saeed saves MKFC with last minute strike

Osama Saeed scored in the dying minutes to salvage a 1-1 draw against SJCSC.  In a game of 3 halves, SJCSC took the lead against the run of play in the 2nd half, however they finally caved in after waves and waves of MKFC attack through out the 3rd half of the game.

This match was play out at USJ 12 football ground which the field is in a shocking condition. 70% of the field was dirt with no grass. The ground was hard and bumpy resulting MKFC fail to play their usual passing game. Failure to adapt to the condition prove costly as well as missing all the clear cut chances.

First half finish 0-0 with Rohan Jonathan missing a penalty on the 16th minute.  MKFC had most of the ball possession but lacking the killer pass. MKFC created more chances on the 2nd half with the best one fell to Brannon who fail to hit the target from 5 meters out. Fareez hit a beautiful curling freekick which beats the keeper but not the crossbar.  Puvan made a fantastic one on one save to keep the scoreline 0-0 at the end of the 2nd half.

On the 3rd half, MKFC again created more chances. Nathan Pike completely miss the target with the goalkeeper to beat and again had his shot save by SJCSC keeper after his great run from the left. Nathan Pike was guilty again for failing to connect to an open goal following a  low cross from the right. Ibrahim also had his shot save at close range after making a great run to fired the ball from far post. And against the run of play, SJCSC scored. 1-0 down with 10 minutes to go.

On a positive note, MKFC kept on their attacking play and was rewarded a well deserve goal. It came with 3 minutes to play when Osama stabbed home with a low hard drive that finally beats the keeper.

1-1 it ends and it did mark a slight improvement for MKFC. Good news is MKFC is still unbeaten in regulation time since new year and hopefully it will continue with this weekend cruncher against USJ One at Stadium MPSJ
